Pure Podiatry of WNY, PLLC was founded by Breeann N. Wilson, DPM, MPH, FACFAS in 2016 with the goal of helping her patients put their “Best foot Forward”. Dr. Breeann N Wilson is a proud native of Buffalo, NY. A graduate of William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, she completed 3 years of residency with the Catholic Health System in Buffalo, New York and Coast Plaza Doctor’s Hospital in Norwalk, California. She is board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and has been in practice for over 13 years. She is also an attending with the Catholic Health System helping to train the podiatrists of the future.
Dana Brimmer, DPM is a Cum Laude graduate from D’Youville College with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry, completing her podiatric education at Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Brimmer’s surgical residency was then completed at Catholic Health in Buffalo, NY. She works in various practice settings, including private practice Pure Podiatry, Seneca Health Nation, and BVC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine. She retains privileges at Catholic Health Hospital Systems.
Dr. Angela Riznyk-Bosworth is a podiatrist/foot and ankle surgeon. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of NY College at Geneseo. She then completed her graduate education at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL where she graduated top of her class.
Following receipt of her DPM degree, she completed a three year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA. In addition to comprehensive training in both Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, her training included rotations on Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia, Pain Service, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Oncology, Wound Care, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She treats complex pathologies of the foot and ankle including, but not limited to, pes planus (flatfoot), pes cavus (high-arched foot), Charcot neuroathropathy, Diabetic foot ulcers, lateral ankle instability, ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, as well as forefoot pathologies (bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, metatarsus adductus, etc.).
Dr. Riznyk-Bosworth also practices the Buffalo Vascular Care Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic where she treats diabetic foot ulcers as well as other complex wounds of the foot. She also oversees hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Dr. Riznyk-Bosworth is a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Miles Sumner, MS, PA-C, CWS, RD is a D’Youville University graduate, class of 2012 from the Physician Assistant (PA) program, who has been practicing as a PA-C ever since. Most of my career as a PA has been spent in wound care and infectious disease. I am board certified as a PA through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant’s and a certificated wound specialist (CWS) through the American board of Wound Management. Additionally, I have practiced as a Registered Dietitian (RD) and have maintained my RD credentials with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
